multimedia, web, and interactive design
I noticed that developers were spending a lot of time re-skinning flash components to better represent text fields in the simulated environment. These components allow the appearance, behavior, and the text value to be set by changing parameters.
The text fields in the system had four different apperances and behaviors based on your progress. Parameters of this component allow you to choose between four different states as well as the text value.
Similar to the text fields, drop menus also displayed various behavior traits and appearances throughout the system. These components allow you to set the status, the initial text display, and the labels of each menu.
Forward and next buttons are frequently disabled by the system depending on whether all required fields have been completed. Parameters allow you to disable the button, fading the text display to grey.
